Students finished their plot structure activities on Jamboard. We then determined the 'model' plot structure diagram from group 1! Way to go, group 1!

We are currently working with algebraic expressions. Students have been introduced to the concept of variables, coefficient, and constant term. The next focus is to write expressions from sentences/situations, and then to evaluate those expressions for a given value.

***Some students have yet to submit their divisibility foldable. This needs to be turned in asap.

Students wrote their first case study of the year on 'Home Children.' It was an evaluation that required them to apply their knowledge of empowerment and disempowerment to a new situation.

Students corrected the remaining activity for nouns. Then we read all notes and corrected all activities on pronouns.

Your nouns/pronouns exit card (15 minutes quiz with notes permitted) will be happening on Tuesday, Oct. 5th!

If you were absent, all note are placed on Google Classroom. As well, all worksheets have been corrected and placed there too, so you can still keep up with the material.

Today we worked with Venn diagrams for sorting numbers into groups that are divisible by 3 and divisible by 10. We also completed an investigation to create a rule for divisibility by 6. We will be working on our last two divisibility rules over the next two days.

Once we have covered all of the rules, we will be looking at a small checkpoint on applying the rules. We are probably looking at late next week.
